Attendance Rule Changes

Attendance rule changes:
(1) Effective July 1 Rotary International changed club attendance reporting rules so that excused absences no longer count against a club's attendance average. In the past, excused absences counted against the club's attendance average but served to prevent a member from being terminated for excessive absences. Because excused absences will no longer count against our attendance average, it becomes more important than ever for club members to submit requests for excused absences. If you cannot attend one of our regular meetings for any good reason and cannot make up at another club, be sure to report the situation to Club Secretary Steve Scott by filling out one of the yellow cards available at meetings or by sending email to Steve at sscott@scottlawfirm.com.

(2) Another R.I. attendance rule change effective July 1 allows our Board of Directors to grant a leave of absence to members who will be away for an extended period at a location where they do not anticipate being able to make up.
